Betis complete Nahuel loan deal

Real Betis have announced the capture of Villarreal winger Matias Nahuel on a two-year loan deal.

The agreement, which includes an option to buy for Los Beticos providing he features in a minimum of 25 La Liga games, also contains a buy-back clause for Villarreal should the obligation not be met.

The 19-year-old, who was born in Rosario, Argentina but has been with Villarreal’s youth academy for the past five years, made his first-team debut in January 2014, a 5-1 thrashing of Real Sociedad.

Nahuel made 20 appearances for the Yellow Submarine last season, 11 of them as a starter, but boss Marcelino has opted to let him leave in order to gain more top-flight experience.

A Spain Under-21 international, he becomes Betis’ third signing of the summer after the acquisitions of Riza Durmisi from Brondby and Montpellier’s French midfielder Jonas Martin.
