Espanyol pushing for Jese

Quique Sanchez Flores, the new Coach of Espanyol, is pushing for the club to sign Real Madrid forward Jese.

Sport reports that Jese is a step away from Cornella-El Prat but will first agree a renewal with Los Blancos before the loan switch to the Catalans.

It’s added that Sanchez Flores has been fundamental to the talks between Jese and Los Periquitos, and has already spoken to the player to explain the project underway at the club.

Jese is said to be convinced after being told he was a benchmark signing for Espanyol’s ambition and Madrid and Zinedine Zidane are on board as well, so when Jese gets a new contract – his current deal ends in 2017 – the transfer will be completed.

Madrid will tie down Jese to 2021 before letting him go out on loan.
