‘Granada in Europe in three years’

New Granada owner Jiang Lizhang is targeting European football for the club by 2019 as Paco Jemez gets close to the bench.

Jemez was reported as being the preferred candidate to take over for next season while Jiang has spoken to Marca about his ambitions for the club.

“The goal this year is to stay up without suffering. My dream would be to take Granada to Europe in three years. I want to help the team have a better future,” he explained.

“I have to learn more about football to make decisions in the future. There’ll be a lot of Granada players in the team. We want to strengthen the relationship between Spain and China. There’ll be a Chinese player here.”
