A right-back exchange between Barcelona and Sevilla involving Douglas and Mariano has been mooted and both clubs could be keen.
Catalonia’s Mundo Deportivo cites Seville’s Estadio Deportivo as saying Barca are again looking to Nervion for summer signings, having in recent years taken Aleix Vidal and Ivan Rakitic, and Dani Alves before them, with Mariano now on the agenda.
Mariano is tagged as a replacement for Alves, who is to leave Camp Nou this summer, and a swap deal that would take Douglas to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan has been discussed, Sevilla sporting director Monchi having in the past spoken of his interest in the ex-Sao Paulo defender.
Barca have at the same time put Mariano high on their list of replacements for Alves and the proposal could find favour among all parties.
