Madrid bid €50m for Alaba?

Bayern Munich have reportedly rejected an €50m offer from Real Madrid for defender David Alaba and are holding out for €80m.

AS reports Jose Angel Sanchez, Florentino Perez’s right-hand man, travalled to Munich several times to meet with Alaba’s father George, who is in charge of the defender’s affairs.

However, Bayern consider the Austrian to be “untouchable” and will not negotiate his departure for less than €80m.

The German champions hoped to silence the rumour mill, but it is understood that Alaba is now considering his future, amidst interest from Los Blancos, plus Barcelona and several Premier League clubs.

Madrid believe Alaba would make the ideal heir to Marcelo thanks to his “youth and versatility” and subsequently are expected to return with another bid.
