Juve ‘want Masche to ask to leave’

Juventus reportedly want Javier Mascherano to ask to be allowed to leave Barcelona, so the clubs can start negotiating.

It’s been reported that the Serie A champions have an agreement with the Argentina international but Barca insist he isn’t for sale.

AS reports that Juve want Masche to push for a departure as, unlike teammate Dani Alves, also a Juve target, he doesn’t have a clause in his contract that allows for an exit before a certain date.

It’s felt that once Masche asks Barca to let him go the clubs can start talking over a deal for the former Liverpool man, who has agreed a three-year contract in Turin.
