Malaga will unveil Juande Ramos as their new Coach on Friday following Javi Gracia’s departure to Rubin Kazan.
The Andalusians announced on Thursday that a new boss would be presented imminently, and the Spanish Press are convinced that Ramos is the man in question.
Malaga also plan to stage an open presentation for the 61-year-old, who returns to La Rosaleda after managing the club during the 2003-04 campaign.
Ramos also coached Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis, Sevilla – where he won the UEFA Cup for successive seasons – and Real Madrid, the latter as a caretaker for the second half of 08-09.
The veteran also spent time outside of Spain with Tottenham Hotspur, whom he led to a League Cup in 2008, and Ukrainian side Dnipro.
