Report: Madrid renew Ronaldo to 2021

Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo have reportedly come to terms on a contract until 2021.

Ronaldo said recently in an interview that if the club was ‘smart’ they’d sign him to a new deal and AS cites Cadena SER as reporting that is what Los Blancos have done.

The forward’s current deal runs until 2018 and it’s said the new terms will be signed after the Champions League Final, which takes place in Milan on May 28.

Talks are believed to have started in February between Madrid and Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, and it will be the second time Ronaldo has renewed at Santiago Bernabeu since a 2009 switch from Manchester United.

If Ronaldo sees out the full five years of the mooted agreement, he will be 36 when it expires and AS says the deal means he will see out the rest of his years of top level football in the capital.
