Luis Suarez believes the private Neymar is very different to the public and says they both agree Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi is the world’s best.
Suarez has commented on Barca’s official website about his relationship with his fellow trident members and revealed he was told about Neymar by a former Liverpool teammate.
“Philippe Coutinho told me about him. I was surprised by how he is. The Press and the people don’t see. He’s very different when you’re with him. He has a way of life and enjoying it, he’s very calm in the locker room and he’s a prankster, a happy guy,” Suarez said, AS reports.
“In addition to the humility, there’s the camaraderie [he, Neymar and Messi have]. I’m happy for Leo or Ney when they score, and they’re the same. Ney and I assume Leo is the best in the world and learn from him. Neymar is learning to become the best.
“It’s always difficult to join a new team where the players are at a high level. My job was to help, not take prominence, and to win trophies.”
