Hatem Ben Arfa says he is 'ready to play for a big team' like Barcelona after being linked with a move to the Camp Nou.
The Nice midfielder was understood to be on his way to the Catalan capital this week for talks over a possible switch, but according to L'Equipe the player had to cancel at the last minute.
However, the former Lyon, Marseille and Newcastle United man insists he is up for the challenge.
“I feel totally ready to play for a big European team,” the France international, 29, told Eurosport.
“I've reached many levels and today I'm ready for the challenge, big or not. There's been a lot of talk about Barcelona. Sometimes it's Barca, another time it's another team.
“It's always like this but for the moment I'm just focused on the end of the season. After that we'll see.”
