Barcelona's Lionel Messi reportedly sent an insult towards Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez in last weekend´s derby at the Camp Nou.
According to information from EcoDiario, the Argentine made the comment after one of the goals in Barca´s 5-0 thrashing of their neighbours, although it passed unnoticed during the game.
“Walk on moron…idiot,” Messi is alleged to have said to Lopez, who stamped on Messi during a meeting between the sides in January and also said during the lead-up to Sunday´s match he wanted to take the title out of Barca´s hands.
EcoDiario says Messi made his remarks when Luis Suarez scored his first goal of the game, doubling Luis Enrique´s side´s lead after Messi had put them ahead with a free-kick in the opening 10 minutes.
