Klopp ‘wouldn’t like to be like Marcelino’

Jurgen Klopp celebrated Liverpool’s Europa League semi-final win over Villarreal but his touchline spat with Marcelino continued.

The tension between the opposing Coaches threatened to boil over during the Reds’ 3-0 win over the Yellow Submarine, Villarreal having won the first leg, with Sevilla waiting in the final, and Marcelino criticised Klopp’s behaviour post-match as he said he wouldn’t be like that.

“I wouldn’t want to be like him for even a second of my life…and I repeat, he’s a great Coach,” Klopp replied when the subject was raised at his post-match Press conference, AS reports.

“Our first 30 minutes were perfect. We played in a very forceful way. We lost a little patience by half time and they came back with success in the second half. We played with a lot of emotion but we were patient. We had our plan and wonderful goals. That helped.”
