Milan agree Nolito deal?

Barcelona look to have missed out on Nolito as the Celta Vigo talisman has reportedly agreed to join Milan in the summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Nolito has “one foot” in Milan after secretly negotiating with the Rossoneri over the winter, although financial figures have not been disclosed.

However, it is believed that the transfer will only go through once Milan’s proposed €700m takeover by Chinese conglomerate Alibaba is rubberstamped, with former Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez also expected to join, just months after his move to Guangzhou Evergrande.

The deal has also been held up by a reshuffle of Celta’s sporting management as Miguel Torrecilla, the man in charge of the Galicians’ market dealings, is in the process of being poached by Real Betis.

Nolito is understood to have rejected Celta’s offer of a new contract on the grounds that he is 29 and has one big move left in him, while Barca refused to meet the Spain international’s €18m release clause in January.
