Bartomeu remembers Cruyff, Tito

Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu paid tribute to the late Johan Cruyff and Tito Vilanova in a speech before the club’s senate.

Cruyff, who passed away in early April and Vilanova, who passed away in 2014, were lauded by Bartomeu for their contributions to La Blaugrana.

“I want to remember Johan Cruyff. You have seen him arrive as a player in 1973 and as Coach in 1988. Without him, Barca wouldn’t be in their current position,” Bartomeu told the members of the senate, AS reports.

“And I want to remember Tito Vilanova, a very important person from a sporting point of view.”
