Berizzo: Celta going for fourth

Eduardo Berizzo is content with Celta Vigo qualifying for the Europa League, warning Villarreal that they want to steal fourth place.

Celta guaranteed European football with a 2-1 win over Granada, AS reports, and explained that he didn’t celebrate the victory too much because he has the Yellow Submarine in mind.

“That’s why today was a modest, intimate, not bombastic celebration. We expect three difficult games. We’re looking for fifth, fourth and everything we can. Getting into Europe is significant and we have to push,” Berizzo told reporters.

“They are [four] points ahead and we pursue a great rival [in Villarreal]. We’ll go out to win and look for three wins, that’ll make us happy. Having stayed up I don’t know how many games ago we have gotten into Europe before the end of the season, a great merit that feels natural. We’re a real team. The magnitude of that word includes all of us.”

Berizzo has also renewed his contract with the Galician club, his deal having been due to expire in the summer and Valencia touted as suitors for his services.
