Enrique: Rivals won’t drop points

Luis Enrique claims Barcelona are obliged to win their last three games as he does not expect Real Madrid and Atletico to drop any points.

Barca put their three-match losing streak behind them with back-to-back wins and 14 goals scored against Deportivo La Coruna and Sporting Gijon to keep them top of La Liga by the virtue of their superior head-to-heads on the Madrid clubs.

“I don’t think any of our rivals will drop points in the last three games, but I won’t watch them,” the Coach said after the 6-0 victory over Sporting on Saturday.

“All I know is that if we win all our remaining games, the title is ours.

“Neymar isn’t at his best, but he never hides. That alone can make you a top player.

“He must continue trying to regain his imbalance, even if he doesn’t score [in that time].

“The fans chanted his name several times to encourage him, and I hope it stays that way.

“I’m optimistic because I’ve seen my players reverse a very complicated situation.

“My team haven’t been perfect, but the important thing is that we left the doldrums.

“In the first half, we played very slowly. We were well positioned but without moving the ball quickly.

“It hurt us to the point Sporting could’ve gone into the break 2-1 up.

“After the break, the team responded by playing with more speed, circulation and success in our passing.”
