Aduriz: Sevilla very dangerous

Athletic Bilbao striker Artiz Aduriz is expecting a difficult tie against Europa League holders Sevilla. ‘They are very dangerous…’

The Primera sides meet at San Mames in the quarter-final first leg and Aduriz was the subject of a Press conference to preview the tie, and in it he warned of the strength of Los Rojiblancos.

“There are many keys to the game. It’s at a high level. They’re the two-time reigning champions,” the Spain striker pointed out, AS reports.

“We know the difficulty. We have to do well and not concede. We need a goal advantage.

“They have a lot of variants, players of different qualities. That makes them very dangerous. There are always surprises in football unless you’re the best.

“We also have different options and arguments. We did very well at home in the knockout rounds, we are strong, becoming more competitive. No opponent wants to play us.”

The game sees Fernando Llorente return to his first club but Aduriz declined to discuss in much detail his fellow centre-forward.

“It’s not for me to say how he should be received. The public is sovereign,” Aduriz insisted when asked about Llorente’s likely reception.

“What we want is that we have more support the better, which helps us a lot. We need San Mames with us, support in the good moments and in the bad, a little more.”
