Thibaut Courtois has reportedly opened the door to Barcelona after refusing to confirm his long-term future lay with Chelsea.
According to Marca, Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s threat that he could leave Barca if he did not receive more first-team football has prompted the club to look elsewhere for a second goalkeeper, and Courtois has emerged a serious option.
“I do not say yes, I do not say no. I do not know: I still have three years on my contract. We must see what Chelsea want,” he told the Belgian Press when asked if he would still be a Blues player next season, reports Sky Sports.
“It is true that it [this season] has changed me. Until now I had always won a trophy every season. We hope that next season will be better.”
Responding to the Belgian’s remarks, Marca has interpreted them as a come-and-get-me plea to La Blaugrana.
