Ramos withdrawn with back pain

Spain defender and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was taken off at half time of the draw with Italy due to back pain.

AS reports Ramos, who was replaced by club colleague Nacho, went into the fixture with the complaint and could only manage 45 minutes.

It’s not known if Ramos will be considered for Sunday’s game against Romania, while Madrid’s next League game, on April 2, takes them to Barcelona.

The game in Udine ended 1-1 after Aritz Aduriz marked his return to the national team with a goal to cancel out Lorenzo Insigne’s opener.
