Eusebio issues La Real warning

Eusebio Sacristan has warned Real Sociedad that he is not afraid of making changes after a fifth game without a win on Saturday against Las Palmas.

Willian Jose’s first-half finish fired the islanders to a fourth win in five games and left La Real devoid of a victory since February 27, although they comfortably remain in midtable, and the Coach was at a lot to explain his side’s sudden slump.

“We have to change things in order to get back to winning ways,” he said after the game.

“If anyone who plays doesn’t reach our desired level of performance, I’ll have to look at other options.

“The defeat was hard to take and a big beating I didn’t expect.

“We played some good football and other times not so much.

“I thought it was a clear penalty [on David Zurutuza], but the referee didn’t call it.

“I thought [our slump] would be something temporary, but we’re going through games and not currently able to end this run.

“We must analyse why we’ve gone from winning matches to this situation, go deeper and then make decisions.”
