Barca concern over Ter Stegen

Barcelona are said to be concerned goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will listen to offers to leave at the end of the season.

Mundo Deportivo reports the German has become unhappy at sitting out La Liga under Luis Enrique, with Claudio Bravo getting the nod in the Primera and Ter Stegen playing the Copa del Rey and Champions League.

The situation came to a head when Ter Stegen didn’t get a start in the Club World Cup and with Manchester City among those interested, he could have a way out of Camp Nou.

Manchester United are also monitoring the situation and could go for Ter Stegen if they lose David De Gea to Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal have been linked before but Arsene Wenger’s uncertain future leaves that unlikely, while a Bundesliga club would like to repatriate Ter Stegen but he doesn’t want to return home.

Barca are however sure Ter Stegen’s concerns won’t affect his performances between now and the climax of the campaign as he is considered to be enough of a professional to avoid it becoming an issue.
