Barcelona have reportedly seen a €35m bid for Rennes wonderkid Ousmane Dembele rejected.
According to France Football, Barca followed up their scout report on Dembele with a firm offer, only for Rennes to knock it back.
Technical secretary Robert Fernandez attended Rennes’ 4-1 victory over Nantes last weekend to watch the 18-year-old in action, and he duly delivered with a hat-trick.
Dembele, who signed his first professional contract with the Ligue 1 club at the end of last year, has scored nine goals and made five assists to date this season.
The forward is also understood to have attracted the glances of Barca’s rivals Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
