Banega deal extended to 2017

Ever Banega’s contract with Sevilla has been automatically extended until 2017 after he made his 30th appearance of the season on Sunday against Villarreal.

Despite no official confirmation of the renewal, Estadio Deportivo reports Banega satisfied the condition of 30 games, all of which he played for more than 45 minutes, in the 4-2 victory over Villarreal, although his performance was marred by a late red card.

Nontheless, the Andalusian publication adds the midfielder will take Los Nervionenses to court as he is adamant the clause is not definitive, leaving the Argentine’s future up in the air, with Inter understood to be leading the race for his signature.
