Real Betis are considering who will have the bench next season and Malaga’s Javi Gracia appears to be the favourite.
AS notes Gracia is out of contract at La Rosaleda this summer and while Juan Merino could continue at Benito Villamarin, other options are being explored.
Gracia has emerged as the preferred choice whether or not Betis stay in the Primera, beating out Juande Ramos, who was linked with the position earlier in the season after Pepe Mel was sacked.
Complicating matters is the high demand in which Gracia is expected to find himself, as Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad are both watching his situation in case they need a new Coach.
Sevilla are also touted should Unai Emery leave and Betis’ eternal rivals would be hard to fight off in the chase for Gracia.
Gracia could also stay at Malaga, as despite his deal expiring in June, there’s talk the club will offer fresh terms.
