Madrid ‘listening to Isco, James bids’

Real Madrid have been disappointed with Isco and James Rodriguez while Gareth Bale’s been injured and will listen to offers this summer.

AS reports there’s a feeling neither player took advantage of the opportunity presented by Bale’s absence and with the crowd appearing to turn on them in the defeat to Atletico Madrid on Saturday, there’s a willingness to move on at least one of the pair.

James didn’t get along with Rafa Benitez during his aborted tenure as Coach and annoyed the club in November by asking for an improved contract, to put him on the same level as Bale and Sergio Ramos.

But Madrid would still prefer to keep the Colombia international if at all possible and want Zinedine Zidane to guide him back to his best.

James will in that case only be sold if an ‘irresistible’ offer is made, AS say.

Isco finds himself in a different situation to James and it’s said Madrid have been disappointed his numbers – goals and assists – haven’t improved.

Zidane initially had faith in Isco after he replaced Benitez but that faith has slowly dissipated and while he was previously protected as it appeared the fans liked him, that may no longer be the case.

Madrid will listen to offers in the close season for Isco and it is noted that he has rarely had a consistent run in the XI but only one of the two will be sold, not both.
