Zinedine Zidane accepts Real Madrid’s title challenge is over after losing the Madrid derby to Atletico Madrid.
Antoine Griezmann decided the tie for the visitors and Zidane said after the match that his side can’t now catch leaders Barcelona, despite the day before the game insisting it wouldn’t be decisive.
“The League is finished. Losing at home to Atletico is a very hard blow,” he said, Marca reports.
“I have confidence in the players. Things will change next year and there will be changes.
“We’ve got a game on Wednesday. I’m not crazy. It’s a difficult moment but we have to be professional.
“Real Madrid will never give up. I have to look for solutions. I wasn’t expecting this, this is the first defeat at home.”
