Euesbio ‘expects even game’

Eusebio Sacristan expects Real Sociedad and Malaga to engage in an ‘even game’ despite his side struggling with injuries.

La Real are without the likes of Sergio Canales, David Zurutuza and Markel Bergara for the visit of Javi Gracia’s side, but there is better news over the fitness of Imanol Agirretxe.

“Markel and Zurutuza have some muscle discomfort and I can’t count on them at the moment,” Euesbio confirmed, AS reports.

“It’s positive for Agirretxe, who has trained and had a good feeling and we have included him but we’re cautious. It’s good to have him but if we don’t need him he can complete his recovery next week.”

Two points separate the Basques and the Malaguistas but Eusebio is largely content to see the distance between his side and the relegation zone, keeping in mind the situation when he replaced David Moyes.

“Maintaining these results is important, especially because of the complicated situation before I got here,” he continued.

“An open game? They’re two teams in a good dynamic. I think it will be an even game, and you don’t know what could happen. I get the impression we’ll have to work hard to take the game where we want it.”
