Marcelino wary of early goal

Villarreal Coach Marcelino expects Napoli to try for an early goal but says his side will set out to score as well.

The Yellow Submarine lead the Serie A side 1-0 from the first leg at El Madrigal and expects a full-on attack when going to San Paolo.

“It’s an important game for us,” Football Italia quotes the trainer as telling his pre-match Press conference.

“The feeling is good, we’re going through a good period and we hope to progress, though it’ll be difficult.

“Napoli have great potential. The first leg favours us, but tomorrow we’re playing for qualification.

“We have to defend well, and we’ll also try to score at least one goal. To get two or three goals is quite difficult.

“We’re coming up against a great opponent, they’ve shown that all season. We’ll try to get a good result though, balance is what will be important.

“We’ll defend well, and when we have possession of the ball we’ll try to score goals.

“If we don’t defend well we could even end up getting thrashed, firstly we have to defend well.

“They’ll try to get an early goal, they attack very well and they switch to defence immediately as soon as they lose the ball, with great pressing and a high defensive line.”
