Galca: Espanyol have to be united

Constantin Galca hopes to remain with Espanyol but the heavy defeat to Real Sociedad means he could be sacked as he calls for the club to be ‘united.’

Espanyol conceded five goals at home to La Real to keep the pressure on as they remain just a place and a point outside La Liga’s bottom three.

“I want to say that we feel just as bad as the fans. I believe that only together can we move forward and reverse this situation. In football, anything is possible,” Galca said, AS reports.

“We can move forward and I’m sure with the support of the fans we’re going to. We were hurt today by the first two goals and we didn’t know how to reverse the situation.

“Will I be sacked? Anything can happen, but I hope to move forward.

“We’re missing important players such as [Felipe] Caicedo, who brings a lot. We must be more united than ever. With the unity and strength we have, we can take this forward.”
