‘Valencia talking to Ramos’

Reports from Spain claim Valencia have reached out to Juande Ramos over replacing Gary Neville for the rest of the season.

Estadio Deportivo cite Cope as the source of the claims that arose after Los Che were beaten by Real Betis, leaving Neville without a League win in his time on the bench.

Other reports from Valencia have said Neville is safe for the rest of the season, though it was reported late last week that sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch was already speaking to prospective trainers, including Rafa Benitez.

Pitarch was working with a view towards next season and not the rest of the current campaign but it was noted that a defeat to Betis could change that, and Valencia duly lost at Benito Villamarin.

Estadio Deportivo claims Ramos is considering Valencia’s proposal, having seen an agreement with Betis to replace Pepe Mel fall apart over wages.
