Sandoval: Granada want to stay up

Jose Ramon Sandoval claimed Granada’s 3-2 victory over Getafe in La Liga on Saturday “said they want to stay in La Liga”.

Goals from Fran Rico, Youssef El-Arabi and Ruben Rochina fired the Andalucians out of the relegation zone, and the Coach praised both his team for being the one “all our fans wanted to see” and the board for “valuing our work more than results”.

“It was a game we should’ve resolved much earlier,” he said at a Press conference.

“My team said they want to stay in La Liga, with soul, generosity and solidarity, while ignoring what’s been said [in the media].

“They were the team all our fans wanted to see.

“The team have shown what they’re capable of when the intensity is right and they play as a team.

“Everything which happened this week has made us stronger.

“This club know how to make decisions and, above all, have valued our work more than results.

“At no time have I doubted the players. There’s brotherhood in the dressing room.”
