Sevilla turn to Keko?

Sevilla have reportedly turned to Eibar winger Keko as they search for additions in the winter transfer window.

Marco says Sporting Lisbon’s Andre Carrillo remains the preferred option at Nervion but Keko has emerged as an alternative.

Eibar are aware of Sevilla’s interest but want to keep the 24-year-old at least until the end of the season, having learned from past mistakes.

The decision to sell Raul Albentosa to Derby County this time last year is specifically cited as an error Los Armeros regret, the defender, now at Malaga, having been a key part of the team in the first half of the campaign.

Eibar plummeted thereafter and only avoided relegation because Elche were demoted for financial irregularities, the Basques having finished in the bottom three.

Keko moved to Ipurua in the summer, leaving Albacete, having started his career at Atletico Madrid.

The Madrid-born 24-year-old has also been on the books at Catania and was a Spain international up to under-19 level.
