Sandro Ramirez could be sent on loan to Real Betis as Barcelona look to clear space for Nolito and give the youngster more game time.

Marca cites reports from Seville that say Sandro is on Betis’ agenda, and note that there were talks between the clubs after the late December meeting at Camp Nou.

Betis sporting director Eduardo Macia and his Barca counterpart Robert Fernandez are said to have discussed Sandro, the talks having been held in secret.

Only Macia, Fernandez and the now-former Betis Coach Pepe Mel were aware of the discussion.

Luis Enrique wants Nolito to bolster the Barca forward line in January and his arrival, said in some quarters to be close, would create a problem as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar have the starting spots sewn up.

Munir El Haddadi and Sandro have been the back-up but Nolito’s presence would further restrict the cantera players’ minutes, so a loan for one is preferred by Barca.

Betis fit the bill and want Sandro and are waiting for a Barca reply to their approach, and Betis may also try to include an option to sign the player on a permanent basis.
