Escriba: No Getafe signings

Fran Escriba has confirmed that Getafe will not make any signings this month or replace anyone who leaves after Sunday’s 3-1 win against Espanyol.

Goals from Pedro Leon, Pablo Sarabia and Moi Gomez secured a third straight win for El Geta, who also moved into the top half of La Liga, and the Coach felt he had enough quality at his disposal to end the season strongly.

“It’s difficult to analyse a game so suddenly, but we had a great first half and the win was more than fair,” he said after the game.

“There are always things to improve on, but I think we’re getting better and better and the people who come through the gates are enjoying themselves.

“We must now try to replicate this consistency away from home.

“[On plans for January], you never know. I don’t want anyone to leave but I understand that if there’s a good offer on the table for the player and club then the market moves.

“If anyone comes in then that’s okay, but there are no plans to replace anyone who does leave, so I don’t have anyone in mind to strengthen the squad.

“We have [Alvaro] Medran and Emi [Buendia] coming back to training this week.”
