Berizzo: No Nolito notice

Celta Vigo Coach Eduardo Berizzo insisted he had no news on the possible departure of Nolito to Barcelona.

It has been widely reported that the clubs are close to an agreement that would see Nolito leave Balaidos for Camp Nou on loan with a compulsory purchase agreement in the summer, but Berizzo offered no information after Celta beat Cadiz in the Copa del Rey.

“I have no notice from my club that the exit of Nolito is true. It’s not something new, or the first time I’ve answered this,” AS quotes the Coach as saying, suggesting he was losing his patience with the topic.

“If this ends up happening, as I have said before, we have to be able to replace him.”

Berizzo went on to confirm that Hamburg’s Marcelo Diaz is a player he admires, but declined to say how far contact with the Chile international has gone.

“He’s one of the players being watched. He’s an international with time playing in Europe. If he signed it would be very good,” Berizzo admitted.
