Atletico Madrid are reportedly ‘pushing hard’ to sign Real Betis starlet Dani Ceballos with a view to a move for next season.
Fichajes.net cites a report from El Confidencial that claims Atletico have been in touch with Ceballos’ agent to sound out the Spain youth international regarding a switch to Vicente Calderon.
Ceballos recently signed a new contract with Betis with terms to run until 2020, but Atletico are said to be willing to push hard for the player even after his renewed deal.
It’s suggested that if Ceballos does join Atletico he will be loaned out for a year so he can continue to gain experience, with Atleti aiming to send him to a team playing in Europe.
