No Nolito or Suarez for Barca?

Barcelona have reportedly been knocked back in their attempts to sign Villarreal starlet Denis Suarez and Celta Vigo forward Nolito.

According to Marca, the Yellow Submarine want the attacking midfielder to stay at least until the end of the season as they are unwilling to allow a first-team player leave midway into the campaign.

They are also under no obligation to sell Suarez, with the side on good financial footing and flying high in La Liga, while the player is enjoying a breakout year at El Madrigal.

Luis Enrique is believed to have personally requested the 22-year-old to technical secretary Robert Fernandez, but the publication claims Barca are unwilling to spend any money in January.

Barca retained a buyback clause for Denis when they sold him last summer, but it does not take effect until the end of 2015-16.

Mundo Deportivo, meanwhile, claims La Blaugrana remain heavily interested in Nolito.

However, the Galicians have already made it clear that they will not take anything under the forward's €18m release clause and will not consider a player exchange following Augusto Fernandez’s recent departure to Atletico Madrid.

Barca had reportedly been hoping to include either Munir El Haddadi and Sandro Ramirez in negotiations.
