Emery: Copa derby not over

Unai Emery stressed that Sevilla haven’t seen off Copa del Rey opponents and city rivals Real Betis despite a 2-0 first leg away win.

Goals from Michael Krohn-Dehli and Grzegorz Krychowiak gave Los Rojiblancos the victory at Benito Villamarin, with Ruben Castro missing a penalty for Los Beticos, Emery after the match warning against complacency.

“We scored first, which was important. We found the efficiency we didn’t have the other day. We’re polishing things so we grow as a team,” he noted, Marca reports.

“They had the penalty, which was a pretty good chance, and it’s true they didn’t have the intensity of a League game but they could get that in the second leg.

“There are 90 minutes, and we have the experience of a few years ago [against Betis in the Europa League]. For us, of course, the tie isn’t over.

“I’ve got experience against Betis and it’s hard to overcome 2-0, but it’s possible.”
