Jemez warned over ref comments

Rayo Vallecano Coach Paco Jemez has avoided a fine or a ban for his comments about the referee following the Real Madrid defeat.

Jemez was charged by the LFP for complaints regarding the performance of Iglesias Villanueva, and as a result compared Spanish football to ‘a dictatorship.’

AS confirms however that Jemez has only been warned over what he said, while Tito, one of two Rayo players dismissed in the 10-2 rout, has a one-game ban.

Raul Baena is also given a one-game ban and other suspensions for the next round of games have been confirmed.

Luisinho and Gabi, of Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico Madrid respectively, will serve one-game bans for their red cards.

Espanyol’s Pape Diop, Las Palmas’ Aythami, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Rayo’s Nacho, Tono and Feddal from Levante, Ajayi of Granada and Atleti’s Filipe Luis are all banned for accumulation of bookings.
