Enrique happy after ‘litmus test’

Luis Enrique was happy with Barcelona's performance in Wednesday's Champions League "litmus test" against Bayer Leverkusen.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen emerged as La Blaugrana's best player on the night after he ensured only Javier Hernandez was capable of cancelling out Lionel Messi's opener in a 1-1 draw.

"I felt positive about our performance," the Coach told UEFA's official website after the game.

"I wanted to give the players who have played the most minutes a rest and I saw good signs from us against a team that really had to win.

"The game was a litmus test for us. In the last 16 we'll face whoever we're lucky enough to be drawn with."
