Sergio Rico has reflected on a ‘crazy’ game that saw Sevilla beat Juventus and book a place in the Europa League.
Los Rojiblancos needed to defeat the Serie A champions and hope Borussia Monchengladbach didn’t see off Manchester City if they were to steal third place in their Champions League group.
“It was a crazy game. We had to win and City not lose and both happened,” the goalkeeper said, according to Estadio Deportivo.
“We’ve had a great game because Juventus are a great team and were one of the finalists last year.
“We were guided by the noise of the fans, the best in the world. We’ve got a ticket to a competition we love and we hope to fight for it to the end.”
