Rijkaard says no to Valencia?

Former Barcelona Coach Frank Rijkaard has reportedly said no to Valencia’s offer of replacing Nuno Espirito Santo, who quit on Sunday.

Sport reports the Dutchman was approached by Los Che but declined to take the post, having previously said he wasn’t interested in returning to coaching.

It’s noted that Rijkaard confirmed he would make an exception if the chance to return to Barca ever arose but, that aside, he prefers not to take another post.

Rijkaard’s last employment as a Coach came between the summer of 2011 and January 2013, when he was in charge of the Saudi Arabia national team.

Sport suggests that former Barca and Real Madrid player Michael Laudrup is second to Rijkaard on Valencia’s list and will be the next trainer approached.
