‘Barca don’t play without Iniesta’

Juan Roman Riquelme has paid tribute to Andres Iniesta, rating the midfielder as the man who makes Barcelona and Spain tick.

Riquelme, who represented La Blaugrana between 2002 and 2005 and was a teammate of Iniesta’s, spoke to DXTV about Iniesta.

“Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi score a lot of goals, they do different things to the others because they’re faster, but Iniesta is still the best,” Riquelme said, AS reports.

“Iniesta teaches you how to play with the ball. He does everything you could want to see from the stands. He’s the only player that teaches you in every game, no matter whether he plays with Barcelona or Spain. When he doesn’t play the team isn’t the same.”
