‘Barca attack and defend together’

Ivan Rakitic hailed Barcelona’s teamwork after Roma were dismantled in the Champions League. ‘We like to attack and defend together.’

The Catalans put six goals past their Italian opponents with Lionel Messi starting for the first time since September 26 and scoring twice, Luis Suarez also claiming a brace and Gerard Pique and Adriano rounding off the goals.

“We like to attack and defend together. We’re comfortable, we’re enjoying it and that is what’s most important,” Rakitic said, AS reports.

“We want to continue that way. We like the word invincible but we know the end of the season is a long way away. We want to enjoy the moment and move on knowing there are still a lot of games and games where things are won.

“We’re happy, but there are games where we’ll need a little more. We’re enjoying the moment but we keep working hard.

“In general it’s important that we’re all together but in truth it’s nice to see what happens in training. It’s a beautiful moment, but hopefully not just a moment.”
