Inter are expected to cancel Martin Montoya’s loan contract in the winter transfer window but he won’t come back to Barcelona.
Mundo Deportivo cite La Gazzetta dello Sport as saying the Nerazzurri want to make room in their squad for Thomas Menuier, the Club Brugges right-back strongly linked with San Siro.
Montoya is already surplus to requirements under Roberto Mancini as he has rarely been used by the former Manchester City trainer, but Luis Enrique doesn’t count on him either.
There’s no mention of where Montoya would go if he does leave Inter and can’t find a place at Barca, but a La Liga club is expected.
