‘La Real’s situation uncomfortable’

Mikel Gonzalez describes as ‘uncomfortable’ the situation new Real Sociedad Coach Eusebio Sacristan has found at the club.

Eusebio last week replaced David Moyes and Gonzalez believes it’s crucial the players adapt to the methods of the new trainer.

“We’re all pulling in the same direction and with the new Coach our job is to adapt to the way he plays and sees football,” he said, AS reports.

“We have to adapt as soon as possible, knowing that the party is over and we have to adapt now.

“Of course, in the end we’re in an uncomfortable situation. There’s been a change of Coach and no one likes that. It’s not the ideal situation.

“From the little we’ve seen all the tactical work is focused on pressure and getting the ball out from the goalkeeper and the defenders. He places great importance on having the ball.

“[The players] are the ones who are going onto the field to compete and if it hasn’t gone well so far, it’s because we haven’t given everything. We have to give more.”
