Spain revert to 4-3-3 for Belgium?

Spain will reportedly revert to 4-3-3 and make five changes for Tuesday’s friendly trip to Belgium.

According to Marca, La Roja’s shape in a training match on Sunday appeared to suggest a number of alterations from the 2-0 victory over England on Thursday, starting with the disposal of their 4-4-2 experiment.

Regarding personnel, David de Gea should replace Iker Casillas in goal, with Cesar Azpilicueta coming in for Jordi Alba at left-back.

Further up the pitch, Mikel San Jose and Koke are likely to partner Cesc Fabregas in midfield, while Santi Cazorla is expected to join Andres Iniesta in flanking lone striker Alvaro Morata.

Spain returned to training on Sunday after they were excused for the prior 24 hours and drew applause from fans at their Ciudad de Futbol complex.

Belgium, meanwhile, are ranked first by FIFA and have been given the green light to stage the visit of Spain, despite security concerns stemming from Thursday’s shootings in Paris.

Probable Spain XI for Belgium: De Gea; Mario, Bartra, Pique, Azpilicueta; Cesc, San Jose, Koke; Cazorla, Morata, Iniesta
