Boca considering Orban bid

Boca Juniors could give Lucas Orban a way off the Valencia sidelines as they consider how to bolster their squad for the Copa Libertadores.

Super Deporte reports interest from the Argentine giants in the left-back, who hasn’t featured for Los Che since the 3-1 defeat at Athletic Bilbao in early October.

Orban is named alongside Rodrigo de Paul and Alvaro Negredo as outcasts under Nuno Santo, but Boca are interested in the former Bordeaux defender.

The 26-year-old is twice capped by his country and moved to Mestalla from Bordeaux in August 2014.

Boca’s hierarchy is due to meet shortly to nail down targets for the Copa Libertadores, and a decision over a formal bid for Orban will then be made.
