Robert: Nolito a real possibility

Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez has admitted that signing Nolito is “a real possibility” in January.

The Celta Vigo continues to avoid ruling out a move back to Camp Nou, while La Blaugrana have made no secret of their desire for winter reinforcements, and the 53-year-old has now added more fuel to the speculation.

“It’s possible that we’ll make some signings in the winter,” he told RAC1.

“We’re working on it and I speak with Luis Enrique every day.

“[Nolito] is a real possibility. We know what the situation of the player is, but there are many other possibilities.

“I won’t say anything about Nolito as a player, other than he’s a good player, in a great run of form and in the [Spanish] national team, which is always an important thing.

“We’re talking about many possibilities, but we’ll see in the end what is best for the club.

“Like all teams, we have a very long list [of targets], but what concerns me the most is the current situation of the team and, right now, it’s good and favourable.

“We have great confidence in the players we have, which is very good. The winter market isn’t good, it’s a difficult market.

“I know the economic situation of the club. We’ll do what we can.”
