Report: Rayo, Depor want Bueno

Rayo Vallecano are considering trying to bring back Alberto Bueno from Porto but Deportivo La Coruna are in the mix too, and he could even stay in Portugal.

AS cites reports from Portuguese publication O Jogo which claims the interest from the Primera pair, with Bueno having had little more than 30 minutes playing time this season across two games.

Bueno scored 16 goals for Rayo last season and Porto snapped him up as a result, installing a €40m release clause in his deal, and reuniting the forward with Julen Lopetegui, who coached the Real Madrid Castilla team of which Bueno was part in 2008-09.

It’s suggested that long-standing bond with Lopetegui could be the mechanism by which Bueno stays at Porto, as he has spoken of his respect for the trainer and may be convinced to stay because of it.
